WebMay 6, 2024 · Nice review of the Empire of the Petal Throne! When I played this game we converted the game system to HERO which was fine. I really enjoyed the setting in a tropical, somewhat magical fantastical pseudo-India. I collected the box set and all the supplemental booklets that I could so I could read about the wonderful world of Tekumel. WebJun 7, 2004 · Empire of the Petal Throne was the first RPG I ever played (in 1976), and I've at least tried every ruleset since (including the almost imcomprehensible Swords and Glory and the less than complete Gardasiyal). I just haven't found a game written specifically for Tekumel that works for me.
